What is the Invsble Bully Project?
The Invsble Bully Project (aka “The Project”) is an ambitious venture, creating collaborations with 100 independent artists. These artists may include emcees, singers, songwriters, and music video directors. Their collaborations will birth songs, music videos and other related content. Our goal is to promote artists by introducing them to each other’s audiences. Further, we aim to introduce them to new listeners via various media outlets.
Who is Invsble Bully?
The "Bullies’" are the beat makers of Illmortal Productions. Adrian "Audio" Hamblin and Derrick "Aaah" Bramble are the executive producers.
What is our process?
First, we choose a beat from our catalog of instrumentals. Then we develop the song concept based on that beat. Next, we hand pick the artists whose talent and skills will create the hottest track and video. When the song is complete, we release it on the Internet. Music blogs and other media outlets promote the track on their sites.
During this process the video concept is conceived. The video director is an integral part of the song concept from the beginning. They visualize the video concept – the story. Continuous input is made as we choose the artist and the song takes shape. By the time the song is completed, the director will have a completed video treatment and will schedule the shoot. The video is released on the Internet with targeted promotion to major music video outlets.
In the end, we tell a story. We are storytellers---the essence of what hip-hop is. We are not trying to be like everyone else; this is not about a formula or throwing together a track, a rap, and a video. It is about the essence of what hip-hop was, is and what should be.
